چکیده
Developing low-carbon advanced processes for sustainable wastewater treatment is of great importance to increase bioenergy recovery and reduce the greenhouse gas effect. In this study, influence adding 25 g/L granular activated carbon (GAC) on process performance was studied with a lab-scale GAC amended anaerobic dynamic membrane (G-AnDMBR) used treat real domestic wastewater, which compared control bioreactor without addition (C-AnDMBR). Due initial adsorption effect high microbial activity attached biomass GAC, G-AnDMBR achieved better removal total chemical oxygen demand (TCOD) turbidity C-AnDMBR, average rate increasing from 82.1% 86.7% 88.7% 93.2%. The gaseous methane production increased 0.08 ± 0.05 0.14 0.04 L/d, enhanced 0.21 0.11 0.23 0.09 LCH4/gCOD. Thus, superior that could improve effluent quality during formation process. addition, buffering made maintain relatively stable solution environment. showed transmembrane pressure (TMP) 0.045 kPa/d, obviously lower than C-AnDMBR (0.057 kPa/d) because nonfluidized trap fine sludge particles adsorb soluble extracellular polymer substances (SEPSs), thus inhibiting over layer. A property analysis indicated induced change in community gene abundance type IV pili it also potentially accelerated direct interspecific electron transfer (DIET) among syntrophic bacteria methanogens by enriching specific functional microorganisms. results integration AnDMBR can be cost-effective promising alternative recovery.

A 69-day experimental study was conducted to investigate the treatment process of municipal wastewater using submerged membrane bioreactor technology. The results show that the average removal rate of COD and BOD5 were over 90%. The removal rate of NH3-N was 99% and the concentration of effluent NH3-N was below 0.5mg/L; because of the high DO value in the denitration sect, the denitrobacteria w...

Limited available water resources have rendered wastewater reuse an important issue to specialists in most developed countries, today. The current study works on membrane filtration for treatment of industrial wastewater. By comparing the two methods of membrane bioreactor (MBR) and hybrid membrane electro bioreactor (MEBR) processes, it finds that earlier fouling in the membrane occurs in the ...
